So what is Inbox Zero?

We’ve been talking about inbox zero in the office lately as we’re submerged with tons of emails every day.

So what is Inbox Zero?

Actioning, moving, delegating or deleting emails from your inbox to stay focused on the emails/ tasks only in your inbox.

The goal is to help you manage your inbox more efficiently, and reduce the stress associated with having a cluttered inbox by keeping your inbox empty or close to empty at all times.

There are many benefits to achieving inbox zero:

  •  Improved focus and less stress
By responding to or deleting emails quickly, you can keep your inbox clean and organised. This can help you stay on top of important emails and make it easier to find emails that you have moved to task related folders when you need them.

  •  Increased productivity
Free up your time to focus on important tasks and projects. This can help you get more done in less time, which can lead to increased productivity.

  • Better organisation
Avoid feeling overwhelmed by your inbox. With organisation in check, categorizing and moving emails out of your inbox, your focus task list is right in front of your eyes - in your inbox.

So how do you take steps to start inbox zero?

  •  Unsubscribe from any email lists or newsletters that you no longer need or want

  •  Create folders or labels to organise your remaining emails

  •  Create rules or filters to automatically sort incoming emails

  •  Process each email in your inbox by its importance:

  •  Delegate

  •  Respond

  •  Do

  •  Defer

  •  Delete

How is your inbox looking today?
